About
Growing up in the cornfields of Indiana, music quickly became my escape after listening to Andrea Bocelli, Lady Gaga, and the Dutch supergroup “De Toppers” in the car, courtesy of my mom. After taking my star turn as “The Mayor of Munchkinland” in my middle school’s production of The Wizard of Oz, this love of music combined with a love of theatre. Years later, I graduated from Ball State University with my BFA in Musical Theatre- chirp chirp!
As an actor, one of my passions is revisiting "classic" works; the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein, Sondheim, and Lerner and Loewe has always been some of my favorites. I love finding ways to recontextualize their iconic material and bring them into our present world. Through my education at Ball State, I have also discovered a passion for comedic and straight-play work.
As a queer, neurodivergent, and first-generation American actor, I love bringing my experiences to any project- whether it's a sweeping R&H ballad or a ridiculous comedic character. When not performing, you can find me choreographing showchoir groups, drinking iced miels, and co-mothering my 10-year-old Siamese cat, Miso. I'm also passionate about musical theatre history (@bwayslays on IG), working with children, interior design, drag, and Carol Channing.
